Furthermore this Nintendo Wii mod chip cannot boot games with BCA protection a protection that first emerged with New Super Mario Bros. Because of this the WiiKey is now legacy and we recommend the

Wiikey Features
The Wi Wikey works on the v1 Wii only to check your Wii model please look below. Wii modchips like the WiiKey offer Direct boot of most Wii backups, originals, and partial region-free support for overseas games, not to mention booting Gamecube backups. Sadly due to the WiiKey being a legacy Nintendo modchip games with BCA protection like the New Super Mario Bros. onwards are not supported. This chip for Wii also supports through Wii homebrew various software please see below in the 2 gig card section for more info. The current wiikey update is 1.9s. Please note we consider the WiiKey legacy nintendo modchips therefore we recommend the

Why we dont do Wii unlocker solutions like Softmods
To offer Wii unlock solutions like soft mods ie the USB Wii loader, Backup Wii loader, and homebrew channel would mean we were dealing with only temporary methods to modify wii consoles. Instead we use hardware mods like the Wiikey. Furthermore than being just temporary, softmods can even kill your Wii when doing a Wii update. Updates are loaded onto game discs and are required with new games in order to play. Once updated Wii softmods are completely deleted or your Wii motherboard may die. This is why software like Wii usb loader gx, backup loader Wii, and Wii iso loader
are not the best in the longterm.

How to Identify your Console Version --- Wii Console
The serial number is located on the side of the Wii
console underneath the UPC code and next to the console fan. Please note these serial numbers are only for Australian Wii consoles.
